WHAT IS YOUR CONTRACT PROCESS LIKE?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”] One is for your standard custom projects. It’s going to be a 10% deposit. This is for to create all your custom samples and your engineer drawings regardless of how many revisions you need. Once that is completed and signed off, then it’s a 40% additional deposit that brings you up to 50%. That’s going to send you into production. Once the cabinets are delivered and in your home or business, 30% is due on that delivery day. Then the final 20% is due is when it’s all installed. For the other type of contract is for either your small projects under $5,000 or your modular projects. These require a 50% upfront deposit. When everything is delivered, then you give the additional 30% and 20% on the completion.

WHAT ARE YOUR
LEAD TIMES LIKE?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]So lead times can vary a little bit. If you’re talking about custom cabinetry and you’re talking about finished either stained or painted or glazed or anything like that. Once the design and samples are approved, you’re talking about typically six to eight weeks, it could be longer. It just depends on the size and specifics of the project. If you’re talking about synthetic custom, these are no finish involved, these are synthetic, ready to go materials, [and] then you’re looking at typically five to seven weeks to produce your project. Doesn’t matter which one those are, your installation is going to be about a week. Now if you’re talking about modular, it’s three to five weeks to get your cabinets together and ready to go, still about a week for the installation.[/show_more]

WHAT IS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR CUSTOM COUNTERTOPS?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]So this one’s pretty simple. It comes down to if it’s wood or laminate. Those items are going to be delivered with the cabinetry. So, whatever lead time is with the cabinetry, those are going to come along with it. But if it’s stone countertop, you’re picking out your slabs. We have to custom template that after the cabinetry is in. So once the cabinetry is in, we template everything. Then we fabricate the tops and then we bring them back and install. That’s about a two to three week window between templating, fabricating and installation. It’s typically a one to two day install for your custom countertops.[/show_more]

IS YOUR COMPANY
LICENSED AND INSURED?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]Absolutely. We would not operate without proper licensing and insurance. As a matter of fact, I have two licenses, one for Haynes cabinet design. That’s 896914. But the one we’re using currently is for the corporation. The Corporation was developed later on, after Haynes Cabinet Design and that number is 1051574. We are liability insured and workman’s comp insured.[/show_more]

IS MY PROJECT RIGHT
FOR REFACING?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]So let’s talk about what are we refacing? The face? The exterior? The expensive parts of a cabinet? So it might just be as costly to replace the cabinet altogether. Why would you reface them? Well, let’s talk about it. You’re saving your countertops. That’s a big one. If you’re pulling out the countertops, that’s your opportunity for new boxes. Maybe a little bit different configuration, a little bit different design. The countertops are a big one. Are you replacing them or not? What’s another reason that’s good for cabinet refacing? Well, timing is a big one. If you want to be done in anywhere between three and seven business days for a kitchen and a few bathrooms. Well, cabinet refacing is a big one for you. If you have to replace everything and pull everything out and demo and there’s dust and there’s a lot more to replacing everything. Well, now you’re talking about 30 to 60 to 90 days even longer depending on what you’re doing. Also, financially, a reface is going to be cheaper than if you’re demoing out everything and new countertops and all that good stuff. Obviously a refacing is going to be a lot less expensive. But I do stress, a reface cabinet and a brand new cabinet is not necessarily cheaper than one another or more expensive than one another. It’s all the rest of the project that you need to consider. That’s where the savings comes in. That’s where the savings, time and money comes in.[/show_more]

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]Yes, we offer an excellent warranty. I’m going to send you to the website to read the specifics. It’s haynescabinetdesign.com, forward slash info. When you’re reading the specifics of our warranty, I want you to remember one specific thing. Whether you’re a homeowner or a business owner and architect and designer and engineer, we use all materials available, both for the interior and exterior of your cabinetry, both finished and synthetic. It doesn’t matter what it is. We offer all materials[/show_more]

WHAT DOOR STYLES
DO YOU OFFER?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]This is a really easy one to answer because we offer all door styles. We work with all the manufacturers. We even custom make our own doors. The only thing is when you get into the modular systems, it’s going to be, “What’s hot at the time.” “What’s popular at the time,” because they’re mass producing it to what’s popular. Other than that, we offer everything under the sun. There’s nothing we don’t offer.[/show_more]

WHAT MATERIALS CAN BE USED
FOR MY REFACING?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]What materials are useful for your cabinet refacing? Well, there’s not a lot of limitations. If you want to keep the price as low as possible, you’re going to definitely want to talk about synthetics. I can do an excellent shaker style white or gray or different colors. Cabinet refacing with laminates and thermofoil doors. But if you want stained or painted, I can do that too, it’s just going to be a lot more expensive. So you have synthetics. You have paints. You have stains. Everything under the sun when it comes to materials, I can reface with almost anything.[/show_more]

WHAT SERVICES
DO YOU OFFER?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]Cabinetry: We offer modular custom and cabinet refacing. Countertops: We offer wood, porcelain, stone, laminates. Backsplash: We offer stone. We offer tile. We offer miscellaneous. If it goes beyond that you have to go through the Crescendo team and that’s luxury home remodels and business remodels.[/show_more]

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE
ON YOUR FINISHES?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]This is where it gets a little bit more complicated, but I’m going to try to keep it as easy to understand as I can. We offer basically two finishes. We offer our locally sourced materials which California has held to a higher standard and eco-friendly standard. It’s all waterborne materials. We do use Chemcraft and Renner. They’re the best manufacturers of waterborne materials for lacquers and varnishes on the market and again, we do an amazing job with this. But if you’re near the water, if you’re near the beach or a high humidity area, you’re definitely going to want to consider our solvent based finishes which we order all the doors and all the finished parts from out of state. It comes into our shop and then we assemble and build your project with already finished parts. That’s the easiest way that I can explain our finish.[/show_more]

HOW DO YOU BUILD
YOUR CABINET BOXES?

[show_more more=”View transcript” less=”Hide transcript” align=”center”]We build our boxes from scratch with CNC machinery and engineering programming. We use a five millimeter system for the interior so you have adjustable shelves and for all of your slide and hinge placements. The cabinets are put together with dowels, dadoes and kompromat screws. The kompromat screws are for unfinished ends, the dowels are for finished ends, the dadoes are to insert the backs. That’s how we build our boxes.[/show_more]
